It is used as a Summer hay crop and should he sown thickly and cut when the heads are in bloom, never allowing it to get old or seed. Very useful for cleaning rich, foul lands of weeds as its quick, abundant, growth smothers weeks. Sow one bushel per acre in May, June or July. Two crops can be seeded the same season, if desired.
